Researchers Wanted: Navy accepting applications for two faculty programs.

ARLINGTON, Va. (NNS) -- Office of Naval Research (ONR) is accepting applications now through Feb. 16 for the 2013 Summer Faculty Research Program, which teams researchers from institutions of higher education with peers at Navy laboratories throughout the country for a 10-week period between May and August. Longstanding partnerships between the Office of Naval Research (ONR) and academia have led to countless discoveries over the years, thanks in part to programs that invite guest researchers into Navy laboratories each year. "This is a highly effective research program," said ONR Executive Director Dr. Walter F. Jones, who himself took part in the program at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base while serving on the faculty at the University of Tennessee.
