MILLINGTON, Tenn. (NNS) -- In an effort to fill critical billets at sea, the Navy announced June 27 that it has increased detailers' authority to transfer Sailors from their shore duty assignment earlier than their projected rotation date (PRD). Announced in NAVADMIN 156/18, the Sailor Early Return to Sea (SERTS) policy enables enlisted rating detailers to begin filling high-priority E4 - E9 sea duty billets by using an increased distribution authority. "Navy Personnel Command already has a number of programs and policies that provide Sailors an opportunity to volunteer to return to sea duty early," said Capt.
