'Bionic Legs' revoluntionise war heroes #Royalmarines

Earlier this year the Government committed over £6.5 million to guarantee that injured personnel and veterans with above knee amputations could receive the latest technology prosthetics. Since then, over 50 patients have been fitted with 90 ‘bionic’ legs which have provided essential new movement possibilities including the ability to step over obstacles, negotiate stairs and walk backwards safely. After just over six months of receiving the new prosthetics, patients have told their inspirational stories about how their lives have been improved, including the possibility to now play with their children in the garden and even gaining the confidence to dance in public. Other visible improvements have included a faster response to muscle commands and significantly reduced back pain.
