LONDON — British commercial air traffic was disrupted Wednesday after two Russian warplanes were spotted flying close to UK airspace over the English channel. The planes, which did not have their transponders switched on, travelled from the north, flew past the west coast of Ireland to the English Channel before turning back. The UK has summoned the Russian ambassador to account for the incident.
