UK's Scout SV reconnaissance variant passes CDR #UK #Scout

The British Army's upcoming Scout Specialist Vehicle (SV) tracked reconnaissance vehicle has passed its critical design review (CDR), General Dynamics UK announced on 26 February. The reconnaissance variant is the final variant of the Scout SV programme to pass its CDR. With this now complete, the entire programme at large, including all the variants, will now undergo a collective CDR. The UK has ordered a total of 589 of the vehicles, intended to replace the CVR(T) family, at a cost of GBP3.5 billion (USD5.420 billion). These are divided between two principal variant families: the 40 mm turret armed reconnaissance vehicle; and the Protected Mobility Reconnaissance Support (PMRS) variant. Want to read more?
