US key player in secret cyberattacks against Iran, says report 6 June 2012 Print Email A report has claimed that the US and Israel were secretly involved in the creation of the Stuxnet computer virus, which attacked Iranian uranium enrichment facilities to allegedly slow down the country's possible development of a nuclear weapon. The New York Times reported cited the book, 'Confront and Conceal: Obama's Secret Wars and Surprising Use of American Power'; it claims that US President Barack Obama ordered the development and spread of the virus to Tehran's facilities, which largely succeeded prior to accidental discovery by software security companies online in June 2010.
