-- Capt. Ronald H. Helms, a mental health nurse with the 94th Aeromedical Staging Squadron at Dobbins Air Reserve Base, Ga., doesn't view fitness as a chore. He sees it as a joy. "Most importantly, fitness is fun, it gets me outdoors, and there are lasting, overall health benefits," said Helms. "I am 56 years old, and it is imperative I stay fit for a variety of reasons. I believe a fit body allows me to live a longer life." Helms said the benefits of a healthy lifestyle have improved his overall physical and psychological well-being. As an Air Force officer, he said it is his responsibility to set the example for co-workers and subordinates. "I think it falls under the third core value of excellence in all we do," he said.
