Service members no longer have to accompany their family members to pick up a dependent’s Common Access Card, or CAC, and can instead opt to go online to digitally sign the necessary paperwork. That authorization form and the service member’s digital signature will be on file when a family member shows up at the local military ID office to pick up or renew a CAC.
