Barack Obama, the Food Stamp President

Newt Gingrich once referred to Barack Obama as “the food stamp president,” which was promptly labeled “racist” by the apologists at MSNBC. In fact, though, it sums up Obama’s disastrous term in office very well. Incomes are down, employment is stagnant at best, but hey–food stamps are booming! And not only because of the hard times exacerbated by Obama’s policies, but also because the administration has made a point of trying to get as many people as possible, including illegal aliens, on to food stamps. The result is depicted in this chart prepared by the Senate Budget Committee: under the Obama administration, growth in the number of food stamp recipients has outstripped growth in jobs by a factor of 75 times:
