MIA remains from Vietnam ID'd, to be buried with comrades at Arlington

The remains of a soldier listed as missing from the Vietnam War have been identified and will be buried in a single casket at Arlington National Cemetery with two of his comrades. Army Spc. John Burgess, of Sutton Bay, Mich., was the crew chief of a UH-1H Iroquois helicopter that crashed after taking enemy fire while on a command-and-control mission in South Vietnam’s Binh Phuoc Province on June 30, 1970, according to a statement by the Department of Defense POW/Missing Personnel Office. He will be buried Tuesday with full military honors with two previously recovered crewmembers, 1st Lt. Richard Dyer, of Central Falls, R.I., and Sgt. 1st Class Juan Colon-Diaz, of Comerio, Puerto Rico. 1st Lt. Leslie Douglas Jr., of Verona, Miss., was also killed in the crash.
