#India Mulls Exporting #Brahmos, #Akash #Missiles To Friendly Nations

India is mulling to export missiles to certain friendly countries as missile production has seen an increase in the nation, Defense Minister said Friday. Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar, speaking at a programme to mark the inaugural flight of HTT-40, said that Brahmos will be among the missiles that would be exported. "The government had taken a very conscious decision about 4-5 months ago that 10 per cent of the missile capacity will be permitted to be exported if producers manage to get export orders subject to parameters set by the Union government and external affairs ministry," Parriakar said. "We have increased the production of Aakash missiles from 200 to 500. This is also true with other missiles. We will export the weapons without affecting our demand," he said.
